I. Scope of Application:

Suitable for determining the combustion performance of materials such as plastics, rubber, fibers, foam plastics, films, and textiles.

18. Igniter: It consists of a metal tube with a nozzle at the end, featuring an inner diameter of Φ2 ± 1 mm, designed to be inserted into the combustion chamber for igniting the sample. Flame length: 16 ± 4 mm, size adjustable
19. Self-supporting specimen holder: Designed to securely clamp the sample vertically while maintaining its position at the center of the combustion chamber.
20. Non-self-supporting specimen clamp: Allows simultaneous fixation of the specimen’s two vertical edges to the frame (optional, suitable for materials like textile films)
3. Chassis and Certain Structural Components:

1. Control box: Manufactured using CNC machining for precise shaping, The steel plate is coated with a powder-coated box body using electrostatic spraying. The control section is operated separately from the test section.

2. Combustion Tube: High-temperature-resistant, premium-quality quartz glass tube (inner diameter 75 mm, length 480 mm), with an outlet inner diameter of 40 mm.

3. Specimen Fixture: Self-supporting fixture designed to securely clamp specimens vertically; (optionally available with a non-self-supporting specimen holder). Two sets of specimen fixtures cater to different testing requirements. The specimen clamps feature a plug-in design, making it easier to position both the specimen and the fixture.

4. The tail-end tube hole of the long-handled igniter has a diameter of 2 ± 1 mm, and the flame length of the igniter can be adjusted freely between 5 and 50 mm.

Tips: During the oxygen index tester experiment, you’ll need at least one 98% industrial-grade oxygen cylinder and one nitrogen cylinder as gas sources. Since these gases are classified as high-risk transportation items, they cannot be provided as part of the oxygen index tester’s accessories. Instead, they must be purchased directly from a local gas station. (To ensure the purity of the gases, please buy them from a reputable, authorized gas station in your area.)
