Overview

The technical specifications for this product are provided by the Brick and Tile Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of the China National Building Materials Administration. Developed and manufactured by our factory, it has now passed national acceptance and been designated as a standard product for the brick and tile industry. Following further improvements, the B-type design is more rational: the ZSX-51B model can accommodate one set of common bricks, while the ZSA-20 model can hold four sets of common bricks or two sets of hollow bricks or hollow blocks. The chamber is constructed from stainless steel and equipped with copper heating elements; the glass viewing window has been eliminated, and a glass thermometer socket has been installed on the chamber lid to facilitate connection with an electrical contact thermometer. In addition, a water-seal groove is fitted along the top edge of the chamber; when the lid is closed, the groove is filled with water to prevent steam from escaping during boiling. A vent port is also provided on the side of the chamber, allowing steam to be discharged via a rubber hose.

Instructions for Use (Please read the instruction manual carefully before use.)

1. Fill the chamber with the required amount of clean water (refer to International Standard 510), then place the test specimen inside and close the lid.

2. Fill the water seal groove completely with water; a short pipe may be installed on the vent port.

3. Connect the power supply to begin heating.

4. Heating will automatically stop once the set temperature is reached.

Instrument Adjustment Method

1. Before formal use, first inspect the power supply, insulation resistance, and grounding wire.

2. First, place the empty container in clean water and set the thermometer to 100°C.

3. First turn on the power switch, then set the digital timer and press the button to start operation. Once the chamber reaches boiling, the indicator light will automatically turn off, and the digital timer will automatically cut off the power when the preset time is reached.

4. This steaming and boiling chamber is a atmospheric-pressure vessel and is not subject to pressure testing; therefore, some steam may escape.

Cause of the failure	Eliminate
No temperature rise	Replace the relay or heating element if damaged.
Temperature controller out of control	Clean any rust from the temperature controller’s pointer contacts.
Cannot be adjusted	Re-adjust pointer shifting
The temperature controller is not indicating.	Replace the temperature controller due to air leakage.
Cannot be scheduled	Timer wiring vibrated loose.
Cannot start	The start button is damaged or the connection has come loose.

Maintenance and Care

1. The electric heating element of this product is rated to have a service life of more than 1,000 hours when operated in water with a pH of 7. However, its service life will be reduced accordingly in water containing chemical constituents; therefore, after each test, the water should be completely drained and the unit thoroughly dried.

2. Before use, inspect the insulation resistance and the grounding condition of the enclosure.

3. Dry firing without water is prohibited.

4. The thermometer shall be adjusted at all times to ensure reliable automatic control.

5. The instrument must be properly grounded.
