Product Overview
The quicklime digester is manufactured in accordance with the technical requirements specified in Part 1: Physical Testing Methods of JC T478.1–2013, Building Lime – Test Methods. It is a double‑walled container made of 304 stainless steel with a lid; the space between the two container walls is filled with slag wool. The quicklime digester produces 1 liter of slurry per 10 kilograms of lime for every 2 mm of height.

Test Procedure
Add (320 + 1) mL of water at a temperature of (20 + 2) °C to the digester, then add (200 ± 1) g of quicklime (if using lump lime, crush it into particles smaller than 5 mm) (M). Slowly stir the mixture, then immediately add an appropriate amount of water according to the hydration requirements of the quicklime. After stirring for a short while, cover the quicklime digester. After allowing it to stand for 24 hours, remove the lid; if there is no more than 40 mL of water on top of the lime paste within the digester at this point, it indicates that the amount of water added during the digestion process was appropriate; otherwise, adjust the water addition accordingly. Measure the height of the lime paste, and calculate the slaking yield (X) as the average of four measurements (H).
Rinse the inner chamber of the digester with clean water to remove any remaining residue until the effluent no longer appears cloudy (continue to pour the rinse water back into the sieve cylinder, keeping the total water volume at 3000 mL). Transfer the residue to a porcelain dish and dry it in an oven at 100–105 °C until constant weight is achieved. After cooling to room temperature, sieve the residue through a 5 mm round‑hole sieve, weigh the retained material (M3), and calculate the undigested residue content (X3).
