    Overview

    The electric waterproof membrane impermeability tester (electric oil felt impermeability tester) is an instrument used to test the impermeability of petroleum asphalt felt and polymer waterproof membranes. It meets the test requirements specified in GB/T328.10-2007 and is suitable for the standards GB18242-2000 and GB18243-2000. This instrument uses an electric air pump for pressurization and is suitable for use in scientific research, construction, production, design, and teaching departments.

    This product uses electrical automatic control for air injection and pressurization, automatically maintains pressure, and features digital timing display. It provides very convenient equipment for testing, experimenting, and researching the impermeability of oil felt and polymer waterproof membranes. When the test pressure does not exceed 0.6 MPa, this instrument can also be used to measure the air permeability or water permeability of other related materials.

    Usage Method of Electric Waterproof Membrane Impermeability Tester

    1. Before use, adjust the pressure gauge according to the test requirements of the specimen. Adjustment method: There is an adjustment knob in the middle of the pressure gauge glass cover. The upper and lower limit adjustment values require a flathead screwdriver. Turn the upper limit pointer to the pressure value specified by the test, and turn the lower limit pointer to a position 0.1 MPa lower than the upper limit. This way, during operation, when the pressure reaches the required value (upper limit), pressurization automatically stops. When leakage or water permeability causes the pressure to drop to a certain value (lower limit), the air pump automatically starts to replenish pressure. For example: if the test pressure requires 0.3 MPa, turn the upper limit pointer on the outer ring of the gauge to 0.3, then use a screwdriver to turn the lower limit pointer to 0.2.

    2. During use, loosen and remove the pressure rings of the three water permeable plates, unscrew the water injection port cover, then close the drain valve. Slowly inject clean water from the water injection port until the container is two-thirds full. Open valves "1", "2", and "3" (0 is the drain valve) until water overflows from the middle inlet holes, filling the water permeable plates. Then tighten the water injection port cover.

    3. Place the test specimen on the annular rubber ring of the water permeable plate, then place the specimen pressing plate on the test specimen and tighten the screw rod.

    4. Set the time dial according to the test requirements to the desired time value.

    5. Plug in the power cord, turn on the power switch, and the air pump will start injecting pressurized gas into the container. The pressurization indicator light will turn on.

    6. When the pressure reaches the upper limit, pressurization automatically stops, and the constant pressure indicator light turns on. After the test is completed according to the specified time, unscrew the water injection port cover to release the pressure, then loosen the pressure rings and remove the specimen. The test is complete.

    Precautions

    1. After each test, wipe all parts of the water permeable plates clean and apply anti-rust oil.

    2. If the pressure does not rise, check for water or air leaks in all parts.
