    The concrete mortar thickness gauge is used to measure the thickness of the cement concrete surface mortar layer, suitable for airport cement concrete surface construction. It consists of an outer ring cutter, an inner ring cylinder, and a digital depth caliper. It meets the technical requirements of MH 5006-2015 "Technical Specifications for Civil Airport Cement Concrete Surface Construction."

    Main Technical Parameters

    1. Outer ring cutter: outer diameter 80mm, inner diameter 75mm, wall thickness 2.5mm, height 70mm, blade height 6.5mm

    2. Inner ring cylinder: outer diameter 74mm, inner diameter 71mm, wall thickness 1.5mm, height 100mm

    3. Depth gauge: measuring range 150mm, display accuracy 0.01mm

    Usage Method

    1. Select the test position. After vibrating with surface construction machinery, overall slurry lifting, and fine leveling, choose the middle position of the paving surface layer or a position at least 100mm away from the supporting formwork.

    2. Moisten the outer ring cutter and inner ring cylinder of the concrete mortar thickness gauge with water. Fit the outer ring cutter over the inner ring cylinder and place it on a horizontal floor. At this time, the top of the gauge should be at the zero scale line of the inner ring cylinder. If it is not at the zero scale line, record the initial reading position.

    3. During testing, first turn the outer ring cutter's bevel downward, fit it over the inner ring cylinder, and gently place it on the slurry-lifted pavement panel. The outer ring cutter relies on its own weight with the bevel downward, fitting over the inner ring cylinder and sinking slightly into the cement slurry, which can be ignored. The inner ring cylinder is marked with corresponding scales. After stabilization, read the scale on the inner ring cylinder to 0.1mm to measure the surface mortar layer thickness. Measure twice at adjacent positions.

    Test Steps

At this time, the top of the outer ring cutter should be at the zero scale line of the inner ring cylinder. If it is not at the zero scale line, record the initial reading position.

    During testing, first turn the outer ring cutter's bevel downward, fit it over the inner ring cylinder, and gently place it on the slurry-lifted pavement panel. The outer ring cutter relies on its own weight with the bevel part sinking into the cement slurry. The lightweight inner ring cylinder with a base sinks slightly into the cement slurry, which can be ignored. The inner ring cylinder is marked with corresponding scales. After stabilization, read the scale on the inner ring cylinder to 0.1mm to measure the surface mortar layer thickness. Measure twice more at adjacent positions.

    Test Results

    The test result is based on the average of three parallel tests, accurate to 0.1mm. If a single measurement differs from the average by more than 1.5mm, that data should be discarded, retested, and the average recalculated.
