Uses
The LD-50 Le Chatelier Apparatus (hereinafter referred to as the Apparatus) is used to verify the elastic requirements of Le Chatelier clips (see Section 4.1 of the instruction manual for details) and to determine the expansion value after a specified curing and boiling period, when standard‑grade cement paste is filled into the Le Chatelier ring mold.

The measuring instrument has a measurement range of ±25 mm.

Use and Maintenance
4.1 Elasticity Test for the Le Chatelier Apparatus: Fix the string on the testing instrument to the base of one pointer of the Le Chatelier apparatus, hang a 300 g weight from the base of the other pointer, and read the value on the left-hand scale.
4.2 Determination of Expansion Value: Place the Le Chatelier apparatus with the test specimen, which has been removed from the boiling box, on a support block with the pointer facing upward. After leveling it, record the reading on the upper scale. Then calculate the expansion value according to GB1346–89.
4.3 Maintenance
4.3.1 Regularly inspect the verticality of the left arm and support rod, as well as all fasteners, to ensure they are not loose.
4.3.2 The shims must be free of rust, dirt, and other contaminants.
4.3.3 After use, apply anti-rust oil to the scale and store it properly to prevent rusting and damage from impact.
