  • The low-pressure waterproofing membrane impermeability tester is suitable for determining the impermeability of asphalt and polymer roofing waterproof membranes, i.e., the product's resistance to water accumulation or limited surface water pressure. It can also be used for other waterproof materials. It is suitable for low-pressure applications of membranes, such as surfaces, base layers, and vapor barriers. The specimen can withstand up to 60 kPa pressure for 24 hours. Two pressurization methods can be used: water pressure self-control and air pump pressurization. It complies with the standard requirements of Method A in GB/T328.10-2007 "Impermeability of Asphalt and Polymer Waterproof Membranes."

    Technical Parameters

    Operating Steps

    1. Before use, prepare the time according to the test requirements of the specimen.
    2. During use, first use a wrench to loosen and remove the pressure rings of the three water permeable plates, connect the water injection tank pipe, then close the water discharge valve tightly. Slowly inject clean water from the water injection tank until water overflows from the middle inlet hole and fills the water permeable plate, then close the water injection valve.
    3. Place the test specimen on the annular rubber ring of the water permeable plate, then place the specimen pressure plate on the test specimen and tighten the screws.
    4. Open the air release valves one by one to exhaust air, then close them.
    5. Pressurize according to the test pressure. If the high-level water pressure does not reach the required pressure, close the water inlet valve and use an air pump to assist in pressurizing to the specified pressure.
    6. After the test is completed according to the specified time, open the water discharge valve to release the water and relieve the pressure, then loosen the pressure ring and remove the specimen. The test is finished.

    Precautions

    1. After each test, wipe all parts of the water permeable plate clean and apply anti-rust grease.
    2. If the pressure does not rise, check whether there is any water or air leakage in each part.
