  • The lap joint waterproofness tester complies with the national standard GBT26518-2023 General Specification for Waterproofing in Building and Municipal Engineering, which is mandatory, and the national standard "Safety and General Technical Specification for Building Waterproof Membranes" has added requirements for the "waterproofness of lap joints" of waterproof membranes. This requirement covers all lap joint processes including hot melt, welding, self-adhesive, adhesive, and tape. After the specification is officially implemented, "waterproofness of lap joints" will become a mandatory quality acceptance item for waterproof membranes.

    Importance of Waterproofing: The construction of building waterproofing works is an important part of construction technology and a sub-project to ensure that buildings and structures are not eroded and that internal spaces are not damaged. Through the reasonable application of waterproof materials, water ingress and leakage can be prevented, thereby ensuring the functional use of the building and extending its service life.

    Precautions

    1. The equipment should not be operated or used in magnetic or electric fields; shielding measures must be taken to prevent damage to the instrument or reduction in measurement accuracy.

    2. For mechanical instruments and equipment, no-load operation must be performed before use to ensure proper loading. Lubricate before use and wipe clean after use.

    3. Instruments and equipment must not be disassembled or modified arbitrarily. If new functions need to be developed or upgrades made, it must be done according to hierarchical management authority and after approval procedures.

    4. Regular maintenance and care of the equipment should be performed, and it should be stored in a dry and ventilated place. For instruments and equipment unused for a long time, power should be turned on periodically to prevent moisture and mildew damage to the instrument and its components.

    5. Establish a regular calibration and verification system for large precision and valuable equipment to maintain the required technical specifications. Keep original usage records.

    Operating Steps

    (1) Before use, first adjust the pressure gauge according to the test conditions of the specimen. The adjustment method is to set it to 0.5Mpa.

    (2) During use, loosen and remove the screws of the upper pressing cover, place the specimen to be tested on the circular base plate below; then place the upper pressing cover on the specimen and tighten the screws; open the valve of the water injection port, then close the drainage valve tightly, slowly inject clean water from the water injection port until water emerges from the inlet hole in the center of the water-permeable plate, then start the test.
