    The ZXL4000A Concrete Resistivity Tester is currently the only domestically available instrument with stable performance, with all technical indicators meeting those of imported instruments of the same type. It can test concrete resistivity on the surface without damaging or drilling into the concrete; the sponge plug sensor provides simple and accurate measurements; a standard test block is included to ensure the reliability of measurement results; it features a display reading hold function; and the aluminum alloy carrying case is easy to transport.

    Product Description

    Working Principle: The corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete is caused by an electrochemical reaction that generates current, leading to corrosion of the steel. Therefore, by testing the resistivity of concrete, one can infer whether the steel reinforcement is corroded. The measured resistivity is expressed in ohms.

    The resistivity of a complete concrete component varies with time and location, so it should be considered together with other testing methods such as half-cell potential method or impact testing method to ensure the reliability of the data obtained.

    Generally, a decrease in concrete resistivity indicates a higher likelihood of steel reinforcement corrosion. In actual measurement of concrete resistivity, it is important to ensure good electrical contact between the test electrodes and the concrete surface. The sponge plug sensor of the ZXL4000A is designed to ensure good electrical contact.
