Digital Display Oxygen Index Tester

I. Scope of Application:

Suitable for determining the combustion performance of materials such as plastics, rubber, fibers, foam plastics, sheets and films, and textiles.

1. Equipped with an imported oxygen sensor, the device features digital display of oxygen concentration—no calculation required, offering higher precision and greater accuracy, with a measurement range of 0–100%.

14. Propane (butane) ignition system with a flame length that can be freely adjusted from 5 mm to 60 mm.
15. Gases: Industrial-grade nitrogen and oxygen with a purity greater than 99%; (supplied by the user)

18. Igniter: It consists of a metal tube with a nozzle at the tail end, having an inner diameter of Φ2 ± 1 mm, which can be inserted into the combustion chamber to ignite the specimen. Flame length: 16 ± 4 mm, adjustable in size.
19. Self-supporting specimen holder: capable of being fixed at the center axis of the combustion chamber and able to clamp the specimen vertically.
20. Non-self-supporting specimen clamp: Can simultaneously secure both vertical edges of the specimen to the frame (optional, suitable for materials such as textile films).
III. Chassis and Certain Structural Components:

1. Control box: Machined and formed using CNC machine tools, The steel plate cabinet body is coated with electrostatic powder coating. The control section and the test section are controlled separately.

2. Combustion Tube: High-quality, high-temperature-resistant quartz glass tube (inner diameter 75 mm, length 480 mm); outlet inner diameter: 40 mm.

3. Specimen fixture: Self-supporting fixture capable of vertically clamping the specimen; (a non-self-supporting specimen holder can be optionally equipped). Two sets of specimen fixtures cater to different testing requirements. The specimen fixture features a plug-in design, making it easier to place and secure the specimen.

4. The diameter of the tube opening at the tail end of the long-handled igniter is 2 ± 1 mm, and the flame length of the igniter (5–50) mm can be adjusted arbitrarily.

Tips: During the oxygen index tester experiment, you will need at least one cylinder each of industrial-grade oxygen and nitrogen, both with a purity of no less than 98%. Since these gases are classified as high-risk transportation items, they cannot be provided as accessories for the oxygen index tester and must be purchased from local gas stations. (To ensure the purity of the gases, please purchase them from reputable, authorized gas stations in your area.)
