Product Overview
The semi-immersion and full-immersion test tanks for mineral wool are used for testing the water absorption of mineral wool and comply with the standard requirements specified in GB/T 5480-2017 “Test Methods for Mineral Wool and Its Products.” After placing test specimens of specified dimensions in water at designated positions and immersing them for a prescribed duration, the change in specimen mass before and after water absorption is measured, and the volume fraction of water contained in the specimen is calculated, thereby determining the volumetric water absorption rate of the product. For full-immersion tests, the amount of water absorbed per unit volume can be determined; for semi-immersion tests, the amount of water absorbed per unit area can be determined.

C.3 Result Calculation
C.3.1 The average thickness is calculated as the mean of the measured thicknesses at each test point, with values reported to one decimal place.
C.3.2 The percentage of the total area that is less than 10% below the specified thickness shall be calculated according to Equation CC.1).
