  • Product Describe
  • This product is meticulously developed by our factory in accordance with the T0362-2024 test procedure, featuring an aesthetically pleasing design and convenient operation.

Purpose and Scope of Application: The coarse aggregate flow time tester is used to measure the time required for a specified volume of coarse aggregate to completely pass through an opening of a fixed size, thereby providing an indirect assessment of the angularity of the coarse aggregate (specifically for coarse aggregate with a nominal maximum particle size not exceeding 19 mm).

The product consists of a vibration table (including a rubber pad, vibration motor, and base frame) and a flow device (including a sample bucket and a flow guide chute).

    Technical Specifications

    Shaker table dimensions 400×400 mm
    Amplitude 0.18±0.02 mm
    Sample bucket Φ125±2 mm × 610±10 mm
    Stopwatch accuracy 0.1 s
    Diversion Channel Slope 10°±0.5°
Diversion Channel Width 90 mm ± 1 mm
Discharge port size 60±1 mm or 42±1 mm (adjustable)
Motor Power and Voltage 380V 370W
    Receiving volume 10 L

    Operation Procedure

First, adjust the spirit level on the vibration table to ensure it is horizontal; then, adjust the leveling screws on the support frame to bring the vibration table to a level position.

Connect the power supply and turn on the vibration switch to verify that the vibrator is operating properly.

    Test Procedure

The opening of the coarse aggregate flow time tester is equipped with an external baffle of Φ42+1 mm; when the external baffle is removed, the internal opening measures 60±1 mm. During testing, the opening is set to 42±1 mm.

At the start of the test, activate the vibration motor 5 minutes in advance and maintain continuous vibration throughout the entire testing process.

Place the balance directly below and in front of the testing apparatus, then set the receiving container so that particles falling from the guide chute during the test will enter the container. The balance will simultaneously display the mass of the falling sample. Zero the balance, close the gate, and slowly pour the standard aggregate into the sample bucket, ensuring that the surface of the poured aggregate remains level; however, after pouring, the aggregate surface must not be disturbed or leveled by any tools.

After vibrating the standard aggregate for 20 s ± 5 s, open the valve to allow the aggregate to flow out of the test cylinder along the inclined surface of the guide chute into the receiving container. When the balance reads 1000 g, immediately start the stopwatch; when the balance reads 1000 + 7000 × pa / 2.7, immediately stop the stopwatch. The recorded time is the flow time of the standard aggregate. Once all the aggregate has completely flowed out, clean the test cylinder, the guide chute, and the receiving container, thereby completing the test.

For aggregates in the 4.75–19 mm size range, set the opening of the sieve to 60 mm ± 0.2 mm and conduct the test in accordance with Methods 4.1.2 through 4.1.8.

    Calculate

The flow time of coarse aggregate shall be calculated in accordance with Equation (T 0362-2), rounded to the nearest second.

    Permitted error

The permissible error for the repeatability test of flow time is 4 seconds.

    Report

Name of the test item and applicable standards.

Sample number, name, and place of origin.

    Sample receipt date, sample description.

    Test date, sample reduction method

Names, models, and serial numbers of major instruments and equipment.

Standard aggregate source, standard value of flow time.

Sample flow time and test results for the standard aggregate flow time.

    Other matters to be explained.

    Equipment Maintenance

After each experiment, residues on the workbench and equipment should be promptly cleaned up.

To facilitate observation of the aggregate inside the test cylinder, the cylinder is made of acrylic and should be handled with care during transportation.
