  • Overview

The CH-30 gypsum board thickness gauge is used to measure the thickness of gypsum boards and can also be used to measure the thickness of other materials. However, depending on the material and size being measured, the upper and lower measuring heads need to be replaced (this instrument does not come with additional heads). For example, to measure the thickness of pipes (using a pointed measuring head) or to measure the thickness of wood boards, composite boards, and other panels (using a flat measuring head). This instrument is operated with one hand and is convenient to use.

    Main Technical Parameters

    1. Measurement range: 0-30mm
    2. Indication graduation: 0.01mm
    3. Handle frame depth: 120mm

    Structure and Working Principle

After arriving on site, the thickness gauge is assembled from: 1. Aluminum alloy platform, column bracket, aluminum alloy crossbeam, locking screws, etc.; 2. Digital dial indicator (with 30mm diameter upper and lower pressure plates, dial indicator measuring head lifting press handle). A locking beam for the dial indicator is installed on the column bracket, with a dial indicator mounted on the open end, secured by screws. The original spherical measuring head of the dial indicator is replaced with a disc-shaped measuring head. During operation, lifting the lower pressure head of the dial indicator causes the measuring rod to rise simultaneously. When released, the spring on the dial indicator resets it, allowing measurement of the board thickness.

    Operation and Adjustment

Before use, check whether the digital display on the dial indicator points to zero. You can press the reset button to zero the value.

When the upper and lower measuring heads contact, the sides should fully contact without tilting. If there is tilting, loosen the lock nut on the valve column screw, then adjust the set screw to ensure full contact, and then tighten the cylindrical head screw.

When measuring board thickness, insert the board between the two measuring heads and the upper and lower measuring rods so that both measuring heads closely contact the board. At this point, the thickness of the board can be read directly from the dial indicator.

    Maintenance and Care

This instrument is a precision measuring tool and should be handled with care. Avoid dropping or bumping it. After use, wipe it clean with a soft cloth and store it properly. The instrument should not be disassembled casually to avoid damage.
