Introduction

The rigid foam sample slicer is part of the water absorption test for rigid foam plastics. The main structure of the rigid foam sample slicer includes a sample placement slot, sample thickness adjuster, sample tightening screw, and sample placement adjuster. Their functions are to place the sample and adjust the sample slicing thickness.

Specific Parameters

1. Minimum slicing thickness of the slicer: 0.1-0.4mm;

2. Sample size: 50*50*100mm;

3. Overall dimensions: 120*120*140mm

4. Effective stroke: 25mm

Instructions for Use

1. Adjust the sample thickness adjuster to the 25mm mark, loosen the sample tightening screw, place the sample with dimensions 50*50mm into the placement slot, and tighten the sample tightening screw to secure the sample.

2. Use the slicing knife along the slicer platform surface to remove excess sample. To ensure the top of the sample is flat, adjust the slicing thickness adjuster to 0.3mm and use the slicing knife to trim the sample edges.

3. Adjust the slicing thickness adjuster to the desired slicing thickness (clockwise for technical samples, counterclockwise to retract the sample into the placement slot), but the thickness of the blade should be added. The blade thickness is about 0.15-0.2mm. For example, when slicing 0.1mm thickness, adjust to about 0.3mm before slicing with the slicer.
