3.1 Applicable Conditions and Test Equipment

3.1.1 The single-ring infiltration test in trial pits is suitable for non-cohesive soil layers such as sand, sandy gravel, and gravelly sand above the groundwater table.

3.2 Field test

3.2.1 The excavation of test pits shall meet the following requirements:

1 1. At the selected test location, excavate a circular or square test pit to the predetermined depth.

2 , Dig another deep one on one side at the bottom of the test pit. 15~20 cm For the water-filled test pit, the pit bottom should be leveled, and it must be ensured that the structure of the test soil layer remains undisturbed.

3.2.2 The installation of iron rings shall comply with the following requirements:

1 Place an iron ring into the water-injection test pit, ensuring it is in close contact with the pit. Then, fill the exterior with clay to seal all around and prevent any leakage.
